Be aware fire line is very pricey.

I use fire line 15lb Berkley on a Shimano Slade 2000 for grunter in Dbn bay and find it extremely effective as it is very direct. However you must be careful not to put too much pressure or you pull the hooks,to allieviate this use a softer rod which will allow more bend /play.Monofilament has huge stretch so you can be harder on a fish , braid or Fireline has none.

Have fun

Brett
