Hi

This cob was was cught by Barry Tedder (ZSAA records Officer) on the 20th of July at 19H30.

The fish was caught at the pipe line in Richards Bay.

Two photos was taken and the fish was released to fight another day.

Unconfirmed. But I heard he used a chokka head beaten to a mush with the added extra of a whole sard inside out. I mailed him with some questions and he was more than willing to help. seems he uses big baits of the mushy kind and he doesn't cast to Australia. The guy is a excellent angler. He caught a Brindle Bass of 154 kg at the same spot. Will try to locate the pic and post it.

We were catching greys just to the left of him when he went on. It have him a very good fight. at first I thought that it was a proper grey but when that fish beached I almost crapped myself.

Good fish indeed.... Also a report of a 32kg kob off st.lucia mouth a few nights ago. Caught by a visitor. Not too sure on intricate details but its good to see the big kob are coming around!!!

so that big one is out there waiting for me to hook him! i must send that guy a thank u note. note to self use mushy squid head and big sardine on next fishin trip and get bigger hooks!

P.S. if anyone elses catches that fish, please toss him back for me? thank u in advance!

I wish I could give the guy mana for the release of that fish. Its good to see there is still poeple that realize the importance of releasing breeding stock.
