Caught these Barbel on Sardine Yesterday while fishing at La Mercy Lagoon

that means the mouth is full up again with fresh water, looks like the garrick aint gonna come thick there unless it opens.

nice catches but did you really eat them?

actually barbel are bloody nice to eat.
I find it best to chopp the head and guts area off, then you skin the whole tail section
and remove each fillet ar steak from the spine.
Now put some coarse salt on and leave for 1-2 hours, then scrape the salt of lightly
witrh the back of a knife and place in a braai grid over the coals.
mmmmmmmmm
