Hi WP,

The best shortcut for you would be to join a club. This gives you a chance to meet other divers and get the opportunity to dive off of boats etc.

The Bellville Club is the nearest to Table View and meets every Wednesday night at 8pm.They are just off Frans Conradie Drive at Danie Uys park.

Ask for any of the committee members and they will help you out.

Good luck.

All areas there are open for spearfishing, there is only the crayfish no take area from Melkbos to Hout Bay.

Post some pics of any fish you take in the area, would be good as this area is considered pretty much a desert besides the odd fish from the kelp at Melkbos.
