I've seem a fair bit of footage of Kob on Youtube and I'm wondering where to look for them. Most of the footage seems to be around big holes in reef structure and caves. Not a lot, in fact nothing, that tells me you can find them in the surf. But we all know you can catch them on a surf rod on sand bars.

So do they feed on sandbars and schoal on reefs? Anyone have any marine biology backround?

I'd love nothing more to get into a schoal

You get them on the reefs in big schools. Shouldn't be to hard. Just the depth around here is 20m mostly.

I caught some nice size Kob off the beach near Bluewater bay to the left of the Sundays river mouth!!

Used a chokka blob bait.... with a small bead on the trace...the key is the glow in the dark bead I'm sure!

Good luck:fswim

Not so clued up on cob, but I have landed a few with spear.

The outside of the harbour wall used to be good, but a long swim.

Flatrocks if you get them in a the caves.

If you like shallow diving, try the far end of the beachview car park, up against the rocks.

My biggest ones, unfotunately I cannot reveal the location, for fear of incriminating myself
