Good dam near Pretoria

Harties, RDW, Bronkies, Witbank, Roodekopjies, Vaal River all places close to Pretoria, close enough for a day trip. I think most of the dams you will find the same as your report on Bronkies water still a bit dirty. RDW is the only place where there is a through flow that keep the water relative clean. Take your pick!

Rus De Winter, take N1 to Pietersburg go through Carousel toll gate and take the Rus De Winter turn off. At STOP street turn right, about 11 Km on this road you will get a sign that says Rus De Winter Dam, turn right on gravel road. Follow this road to the gate where you will pay to enter the dam.
RDW - Rust de Winter.
Take the N1 Pietersburg.
Drive past the courasel(spelling) and take the next offramp.
Turn right under the bridge and head East.
About 11km from the N1 you will get a signe that says Rust de Winter take this gravel road and drive to the dam.
