So yesterday afternoon i load my klopstok on my bakkie and head off to my "secret" spot.... Full of confidence.... i'm gonna go klop my PB barbel! and the the weather turns sour, just like it can up here..... one MOERSE thunderstorm and 60mm of rain... THAT EQUALS NO BARBEL... So how badly does the weather affect these beauties?

i fished the weekend aswell had a massive thunder storm at about 1am almost blew the tens away, 30 min later the storm blew over and i was awakened by a very sweet sound,.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, landed him as i went back to bed ..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz happned three times in a row and the carp were going moggy, next morning i went out with a depth sounder founf out i was hooking them in 1,3 meters of water, so the storm i think brought them on the bite but during the stoem all was dead. so i thinks its a very touchy subject, weather and fish behavoir have always been studied with little succses buy fishermen and scientists

My personal favourite is just after a thunderstorm that deisel just described. Carp especially go bonkers just after for a couple of hours.
