Is this the lower or upper dam? on the 2nd foto it looks like the 1 at the top since its more renowned for its babel and also a place where we hunt them :), there is plenty of decent size fish in there (babel and carp). Nice catch mate.

Hey,thanks, got another one this morning before work,not a big fish,but was fun on fly.Hi moedeloos,the one lying on the grass and the one i Caught today was top dam and the other two were at the bottom dam,but ive caught about 9 in the last week all at the top dam,i just dnt always have the camera there.Do you fish there on conventional tackle too???whats the biggest you have caught there before,i have a friend who lande3d one of 15Kg's believe it or not and then i have landed a 11kg fish there,i still believe that there are bigger fish there,snails being the best bait for me so far!

I call fr them when i dont see any and it does make a huge difference at times especialy if your not sightfishing to them

Brushhog have u fished the dams on the way to Welgedacht where u turn towards the Spar? There are A LOT of barbel in that dam, but my biggest there was about 4kg. best bait for them there is anything with some brown bread attached. With spring arriving, if u got the stomache for it, take a couple of baby chicks out of some weaver nests and cast a line near some reeds. U are bound to beat ur record.

Hi Marthin,i have caught there,but not on fly and we get beaten up by the big fish,only landed fish of up to 5kg's so far,but there are some huge fish in there.
