Ystervarkfontein is far from Stilbaai and access is limited. Moreover, there are a lot of good fishing spots in and around Stilbaai and Jongensfontein. August you will be targeting rock/reefs species galjoen, kolstert, bluefish, and maybe the odd bellman and cracker. So take variety of bait, rebait, mussel and some worm. You can fish either Stilbaai between the harbour and Visvywers, walk around the point from visvywers towards Jongenstfontein or walk from Jongensfontein east, back towards Stilbaai or West towards Heuningnes baai. It really just depends on your groups fitness and willingness to walk (pack light). Although there are some "spots" it's so variable depending on the ocean conditions that it's best to choose a spot that looks good, fish it for a while and move on if it doesn't produce anything. If the see is flat fish off the points at low tide and if it's big high tide in the bays/gulleys should produce.
