I have a Saltist 8000 and I want to use it for sliding. I plan on using 50lb whiplash as my backing and either mono or Fireline as my top shot. Has anyone attempted to slide using Fireline and how effective is it?

sliding with braided lines can be done. it is different to the normal sliding action of up and down. it seems a side ways movement is better left to right. we have tried it with berkley black valvet. so it can be done yes. is it difficult, yes it seems to be
