Shot this nice finger fin over the weekend and just want some confirmation on the species. Guess it's just below 3kg, taken near Hangklip/Overstrand.

Just for record purposes it is a two tone finger fin aka butter fish. Length to weight scale put it at around 2.3 kg, didn’t actually weight since I had already gutted and cleaned it. Was good eating, flesh very soft and buttery hence the name, I wouldn’t say it exceptional.

its def Brachydactytlus bank steenbras is Grandis both belong to the genus chirodactulus.

Bankies have that vertical stripes usually which can be very light
