Hello everyone. I am based in gauteng west rand.I have some damage on my outboard. I need to know who would you guys recomend to repair a broken skeg and 2 props on Suzuki DF 90's? I need someone who can do the work profesionally. Thanks in advance

I remember there was a guy out toward Hartebeespoort who knew his way round props... Just not sure how one would find him. Maybe someone on the forum could remember his name and location. But you could maybe ask round the boating shops specifically for the dude at Harties. As far as skeg goes, I have an old Yammie 4-stroke and the skeg was busted, so the prev owner just bolted on a skeg protector to fulfil the function. i know boat doctor in klip river do boat props. they have the moulds/ forms to get the pitch and stuff correct for aluminum props. not sure about stainless steel props. we did aluminum props with them back in the day. it looked good. but remember aluminum is a bastard!!! so it all depends what exactly needs to be done.

Hi Willem The boat doctor moved to Kempton but you can still get their contact details online.And yes once they are done rebuilding your prop its better than new. I know they say they do stainless as well http://www.boatdoctor.co.za For a proper skeg repair I donno

Ja first launch we dropped the boat on the motors, on the slip lol..damaged a skeg, put on skeg protectors with sikaflex to cover the chip and its been fine ever since.
