okay report for today. ::S

I'm sorry to say that the sea is looking a bit on looks like a left currents and back wash, but it still has that ginger beer culler, i think it my change to flat and no currents, which is good for the spot that i fished this weekend if you are wondering where it is it is just before the bridge of the touwe river starts you will see on your right that there is a big hole going out to sea with a sand bank to the left and right perfect spot and the results speak for its self.

hope this helps sorry for the delay had a bit of Internet problems.

Tick tock, tick tock...

Isn't it funny how slow the time moves before a fishing trip, and then it just races past while fishing?

Great report, thanks Itsarap!  Keep em comming?

fef, I'll just drive up and down the Wildernes coast until I find a large local without a shirt busy fishing!  Now you've published your sectret, this Vaalie knows where the fishing is at.

Thanks guys, will do.

Hey faf, my basic strategy is to rock up at the beach carrying enough kit for two guys to fish with (half of it broken), pick a spot within 50 meters from a local (usually next to the hole where the fish is), and then proceed to look like a complete idiot. Casting a few overwinds and presenting my sards like a blob bait normally works best. Very soon the victim (read local) will comment to a friend: "Ag shame, kyk daai arme Vaalie". The friendly local will then stroll over and start helping me. Works like a charm. Very soon all the little secrets come out and without spending days on the beech catching a suntan, I have a local on my side.

I can't wait to meet you guys!::hapi:

Tight lines till then.

Maveric, you sneaky bugger! Hahaha. Anyway, drive safe. Maybe I'll catch you down there as well, I'll just look for the guy with loads of tackle being instructed by somebody that knows what he is talking about, shouldn't be too hard to find. :lol:

good morning :SSS

Johan S I'm not that hot but i learned from the best his name is oom Fanie he has bin fishing this coast line since i was born. I'll try and give reports that are helpful but the sea can change from being great to complete crap in 30min i have witnessed this so if i give reports i give it in the morning because 9/10 times its the same at night well i hope. but I'll be giving photo reports from wilderness from next week on so you guys can sea and learn what to look for when one wants to fish.

report for 2-day
:f1shy
the sea is okay to fish in looks like left currents again not to strong has a bit of white wash the culler is changing again back to normal a slight westerly Bries if you can call it a Bries i would fish it. I think you would get your cob next to the sand banks I'll try go 2-night let you know.

have a good day.

Hey Itsarap

Question for you.  What do you think of this hole in front of Glentana?  It looks like there is a sandbank (marked with the rectangle) and a hole (marked with the circle).  Do you think it has any potential to produce fish?

this is a perfect example to show what to look for and wat not to look for.

the hole that you are referring to looks good if you can throw 180 meters plus as you can see the hole is deep in and the sand bank in front of it is where your bait will be laying if you had to throw there.

but if you look at the photo closely you will see to the right is  another hole which goes right up to the surf that you would be standing on hens you don't need to cast far to get your bait in the proper position to catch. If you where going for cob i would throw (if you where standing in front of the hole looking towards the seas direction) just to the right on the sand bank that is where i would expect cob to pick you up. if you where going for sharks i would throw in the hole or put out a live mullet for cob or slide shad head for sharks what ever you have to give you can give in this hole you can and will get pict up by sum thing eventually.

i hope this helps

regards chat later.:fswim
