I'll be waiting for your call. Lets go get the big ones:fishn
So far as what the fishing is concerned not much on the cob but grunter's and sand-sharks, stingrays and regular sharks allot. The river mouth is open which is good so lets see what hapens.

hello 01/12/2008 report for weekend 29/30/11/2008

sum of my friends went to kleinkrans this weekend and had sum good fun. they caught sharks and lost something they think was a cob or a big shad, only the fish will know what it was.

NSRI: is looking good with a gully that is still open to the deep sea at high tide the mouth is closing up so if you want to have your chance with a grunter or 2 now is the time.

Wilderness: stretching from leenkies clip to sand hoogte has allot to offer so you can pick where you want to fish.

Glentana: 1 and 2 is looking promising going to try there soon i let you know.

Vic-bay: Shad/elf season is open as from 00:01 this morning remember bag limit is 4 per day. I'm going out 2-morrow morning should get them.

Have a nice day tight lines :fishn

good morning people of south :sa:

The sea is big 2-day dumpers and currents. Vic-bay was good for surfing this morning, but bad for fishing i could say comfortably that the waves where about 6-8 ft high, my fishing friend Amy caught the only shad for the morning and it was just size, i think he stretched it a bit to get it size. things could change during the day but i don't think so, the cold-front is on us and the westerly wind is blowing. So to the fishermen going out for 2-night it doesn't look good.

have a bandit day:(

itsarap, these reports are driving me insane! Hahaha.

Thanks bud, much appreciated! Nice to hear whats happening where so close to the holidays. I got your PM and will give you a ring when I get to George. I also believe in fishing in groups, it is just safer that way. Please keep those reports coming.

And while your at it, what is your opinion of flat rock? Also, there used to be a nice hole just to the right of the stairs coming down from the hotel (about 1km west of flat rock, can't remember the name but it is opposite that Engen garage). That hole still there/producing?

Hi There Itsarap and others!

This is exactly what I was looking for.  I am also traveling from Pretoria to Glentana over December, and I am also looking for someone to go fishing with or alternatively some advice.

If you really mean "the more the merrier" we should talk.  I posted another message discussing this issue.  Please see http://www.sealine.co.za/view_topic.php?id=12702&forum_id=17

Talk to you soon!

I was planning to go to Wilderness yesterday after work, but the weather did look to lekker so decided to rather stay at home. Tonght is very good rugby on Supersport 1 (Jake White's Barbarians vs Australia at 21:30) so will skip tonight also.

:fishnItsarap, keep me in the loop when you guys go fishing, will see if I can join in. Unfotunately I will be working right through the festive season.:fbash

Wow, I can't believe that it changed that much. Guess I will have to see it. Didn't know the last rough seas were that rough... Looking forward to meeting you middle December :)

good morning

2-day its wet wet wet rain all the way but it should clear up by Friday afternoon. The sea is looking good not to much currents and a slight back wash perfect for a gully, or bronze or even one or 2 good size cob that sit in the wash waiting for small fish to swim by.

Just to elaborate on the ruff seas that we had in September.

Vic-bay had a hole washed out in the road towards the peer, Ernie's house in Harold's bay had damage that was hectic sliding doors washed out and all the furniture damaged wilderness had it just as ruff. lientjies parking area was under water by the tap the houses to the right always had a dune protecting them if it wasn't for that the houses wood have bin in trouble. Nsri's one life guard tower was sacrificed and went to the sea as a nice reef ornament for the fish. I can go on and on it was hectic none the less.

have a bandit day tight lines:ssswim:

Keep up the good work Itsarap.

You’re not making me jealous.  I'm not wishing it was the 15th of December, and I'm not going to be grumpy at work because I want to be fishing (Not).::craz

I do however wish you tight lines!
