The C-word lockdown

I'm not even going to say it since most of us are probably already gatvol of the C-word and all the media hype around it.

What will you be doing whilst staying at home? Cleaning reels, trying traces, making sinkers, reading more on fishing, or maybe scanning Google Earth for some new spots?

Or are you one of the lucky people that have some water on your stoep to fish in?

Maybe take the time to post some lekker fishing pics or tales here to keep you fellow sealiners entertained?

Please no C-word use or doom and gloom posts, let's keep it positive!

definitely making some traces, i do only stay 90 meters from the sedgefield lagoon, but dont want to risk it....lol i say that now lets see what i say in 2 weeks...hahaha. so ya reel servicing and traces.

if you a larney you can book in to one of the places with water from the stoep!! There are some epic places in tsitsikamma that I know of to bunk down. The lucky few that stay @ gibsons bay and Anglers paradise..joh..

cleaning and servicing reels, new traces and so on.

But the worst, is going to be cleaning my garage out, and getting rid of "stuff".

Ongelooflik, the amount of stuff one collects over time.

Sterkte manne !!

Still working frantically to try get deliveries out and keep customers happy... But yeah... My personal workshops are going to look quite different by mid April. I think I'll also start on a few new poppers for Lazarus in Oct.

Btw... Only C-word I have is for the dude who casts over your line at the pier. ;)

Any recommended fishing channels on Youtube/ series/movies on Netflix??

Recommendations old Sealine threads worth reading through?

Also would be great to see a few "Fishing Reports" on Sealine to help pass the time, as mentioned previously... So any members with a significant catch or story, please share!!! One can write an great report without giving too much info on your spot away.

I think 21 days is too short if I look at my to-do-list around the house... in my home workshop... my boats trailer & I've noticed some ugly scratches on my boats hull (I think from pulling it into the shallows in between trips onto the dam, so it doesn't drift away) anyway I'm tempted to service some of my older reels but I've never done it before - What exactly does servicing entail? I know greasing the internals (what grease works best for reels?) is there anything else that needs to be done? I've mostly got grinders, but also a nighthawk, 2 baitcasters and 3 closed-face reels

I will still be working remotely, but brought the boat back from the Kromme to work on the trailers lighting as the brake lights and one indicator does not want to work.

I'll probably give the boat a good vacuum as well.

I'll be cleaning tackle and building traces for scratching. Thought I'd share some pics of recent scratching missions.
