Question about how carp suck up food.

Firstly I want to ask why is this forum so quiet the last few months?
I am sorry if this might be a insensitive question.

When a carp sucks in your boilie or tigernut hair-rig. How far is it sucked in normally before the carp realizes something is up and ejects your bait?

I think one of the reasons all of the forums are so quiet (listening to conversations) is because of all the damduikers these days. If you see the lack of carp care these days and the amount of big fish being killed ,or moved for that matter, people dont want to help them catch big fish, which is totally understandable. The only people left these days who says anything are those trying to sell their products. I think the time for online sharing of big carp secrets is over, for the foreseeable future at least.

I think it depends how far A carp will suck in your bait. Is it feeding hard/confidently, how long is your hooklink, time of year ect. I personally think it pretty much 50/50 when it realizes something is wrong and tries to eject it. When feeding confidently you can rely more on your weight for the hookup, but when they are wary you need A hooklink that hooks it instantly when it sucks in your bait without relying much on the lead for the hookup. I think it safe to share at least that much. Also keep in mind your feeding strat, do they want big baits or small baits, which are they rejecting? ect
