spots like Macauvlei / Oumansgat / Blakes etc come to mind.. the reefs also produce but more dangerous with slippery rocks and rushing water.. not as consistently productive as in the past though but has its days.. this a short video i made the other day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_YfTObp2Xc&t=317s

Masbaai (Hangklip), good in Feb and March for geelbek and kob.

The best wind is SE, go after it has been blowing strongly for 2 days (so go on the 3rd day). The swell must not be too big outside, otherwise you are wasting your time. Fish at sunrise or sunset. Try chuming-use livebait if you can (take a yazuri, you should get maasbunker). The tide has no affect on geelbek at Masbaai.

Always ensure your bait is a half meter from the ground, to avoid the kelp and crayfish.

Also try a drift bait, or if there is a ground swell, use a small ball sinker to keep the bait down.

Try and anchor slightly away from the kelp, not right on top of it-in a channel.

You can fish at might, but then fish directly opposite the slipway, about 400m out, so you can come straight in (very, very tricky coming in at night, I speak from experience).

Good luck!
