Hi Guys

Just need some input , recently bought a BG4000 JDM and a BG 11,6 FOOT spinning rod (BG POWER SPIN 1163HFS), paid 2900 brand new , let me know if I made a good decision

Thank you

Sounds pretty reasonable, but I doubt there is a difference between the JDM BG and the export BG. Did you buy through eBay?

Hi There. Thank you very much for the comment. Got it from someone localy.. I was aware that it was a jdm I understand from other sites that the quality was a bit lower(still a very beautiful reel though) but I got it at a good price

Think the JDM if I am not mistaken has a different handle compared to the normal BG. Instead of the handle having a threaded female shaft like on the normal BG's it has a threaded male shaft going all the way through and secured at the back with a cap nut. (See pic from Alan Hawk review)

Don't think you can go wrong with the rod as my buddy has one and he is very happy with it.
Also a nice travel rod as they come in 3pc :)

Typically, JDM market models are seen as better than export models for the more discerning Japanese client.
Unfortunately not in this case, it's on the Alan Hawk website, sounds like it is not just the handle but also the main gear that is different

Yes I think the export has a digi gear.. And the jdm not.. Will check how it is when I use it still got an OK price though relative to export.. Only really fish once or twice a year thank you for feedback.. Much appreciated

I've been wondering about this... I guess the Japs only go the extra mile on their high end stuff. Perhaps the lower end stuff is more a sort of "Asia" model (into the general SE Asian zones) rather than what we've come accustomed to as the JDM models. I doubt there is a more discerning bunch of people in the world than the Japanese.

Hi Guys

Anyone perhaps know what part 72 and 71 is for in the diagram , are they common in reels and where can I get them.

Thank you
