Hi guys. I'm hoping to find a buddy to go spearfishing with in Durban area. My time is quite flexible and can usually make it anytime in week. I've only been out at Vetches a few times over that past few weeks but realise its better to do this with a buddy as I have a family back home. Thanks

Hey Macster, that's a good question - I've only been in the water a few times recently, Vetches if you not familiar is prettty calm man made reef, mainly smaller reef fish on it..I'd seen a few decent stumpnose (biggest about 2kg) but quick to disappear again. But I did have a very brief grey visitor in about 2m of water in mid Sept and I haven't been back in since but mainly because the south Easter seems to be keeping the water very green and murky so I'm looking forward to either been with a buddy next time or in better vis. Very stoked about the encounter (afterwards when on land), but it did make rethink when I how I should be spearing- it was very poor vis that day, very green at best I could barely see 3m and there was no one else in water. But I think it would have been a good fishing day because the reef was full of fish 🐟 if you head to Durban at all let me know - there some good reef spots a bit north of Durban near umdloti
