went fishing this weekend only to discover the dam's floor was over grown with algea from out last few days of scorching weather, so i took some salt water tactics and applied them to barbel fishing,......

because the frogs kept sinking onto the algea i had a sneaky feeling that the barbel were swiming right over it but couldnt see it,

so i attached a piece of bait foam to a 4/0 hook like you would make a throw bait for the surf, instead of choka i used chicken skin and instead of prawn or sard belly as a base i used liver or platie leg...

10 minutes and was into a fish , 1 hour later i went home satisfied with 3 fish and a smile on the dail...

has anyone else tried this and how succsesful were you:wfish:wfish:wfish

Deisil ,if you were French or perhaps, only even very hungry ,you could really make a meal out of your baits, just add heat. Just joking bud,it seems like you put in a lot of effort into your baits and as with all disciplines of fishing, preparation is 9/10th's of catching. As you can see your thinking is paying off.

Now is this the same guy that said he wasnt much of a barbel afficionado when he just joined Sealine,,ha ha you're hooked buddy.:fbash
