I'm looking for a hiking trail somewhere in the Western Cape, East of Cape Town, where one can stop and fish along the way. Preferably a two day hike (one night) where you can sleep in a bungalow or hut.
Does anyone know if there is somewhere where this would be possible?

You can fish Goukamma to Gonnas.
Start walking at Buffelsbay near Knysna towards Groenvlei, about 10km along beach and you can fish all along (within Goukamma nature reserve). You spend the first night at cape nature bungalows next to Groenvlei. Next day walk from Groenvlei to Gonnas past Gerickes point etc (haven't measure but probably around 12km if you finish at Kleinkrans). You can fish on the low tide with fairly light tackle so relatively easy to carry.

Thanks a lot.

We go to Buffels every January, so I know the areas you mention.

Didn't know there is bungalo's, should be a nice hike during the winter months fishing for gallies.
