Thanks captain Morgan. I just wanted to let everyone know that I bought the boat. We took her out for a sea trial yesterday and all I can say is WOW! It was one of the smoothest boat rides I've ever taken. There were 4 to 5s and had it on plain cruising 2600 rpms 35 mph cutting through them like butter. The boat is a blast to drive, also we were the only boat on the water (small craft advisory) never felt unsafe while running.

small craft advisory?

ok, what conditions do they advise.

with us, recommended is a maximum of 2 meter swells or 7 foot on 10 seconds.

that's still nice.
we often fish bigger swells if needed, but 0,9meter swells is unheard of.

we have a ocean that rocks!!!

good on the new boat!!!
enjoy it, sure it will be good, it was build for rough seas....not pond waters

wws - he is talking windchop. The bouy data confirms this.

Swell is a given. In SE USA the speed and direction of the wind versus the Gulf Stream is a major factor together with the inlets.

Congrats on the new baby,

The boat being south african should be able to handle almost any kind of sea especially with her surf launching pedigree.

The only thing she will not be able to compete in, in the american market is with her finishes, as long as you are happy with them!

Any news on how a South African Tomcat found herself all the way in America??

Cheers.
