Hello everyone,

In a week we are heading to Lake Kariba and will be spending 5 days on a house boat. I was wondering if there are members that have done this trip before and what their experiences were? Some tips on fishing gear to take with will also be appreciated.

Goeie dag Edman. Jy noem nie waar by Kariba jy gaan nie.

Ek het reeds 4 sulke vakansies gedoen. Vanag Binga.

Hengel was uiters swak. Te veel nette en plaaslike mense wat als uitroei.

En die Beitbrug grens is 'n nagmerrie!

Julle gaan egter 'n goeie tyd van die jaar.

En die huisboot ervaring is altyd baie lekker!

Die gewone effzet lepels en rooi spinners met oranje(tiger wakka, ens) werk goed.

Probeer ook kurpertjies vang vir lewendige aas. So vat enkelhoeke en genoeg kabeltjies ook saam!

Vat maar 'n paar rapals ook saam om mee te trawl.
Ook genoeg ys en drinkgoed!

Ek kan nog baie inligting gee indien nodig.

Sterkte ek hoop julle hengel lekker.

Hello Dawie,

Dankie vir jou boodskap en al die inligting. n Vriend reel die hele trip so het nie te veel inligting nie.

Ons gaan begin naby Charara en dan is daar twee stoppe en 5 nagte op die water voor ons by Musango draai.

Ons Boot se naam is Osprey.

Glo ons neem genoeg drankies en ys ook saam.

Watse gerei verskaf die boot, is daar skepnette ens? Op die stadium van die geveg vat ek net stokke, hoeke, kabeltjies en die gerei wat jy genoem het.

Ek stel voor julle kontak die mense van die huisboot en vra al die goed waaroor julle onseker is. Die bote verskil almal t.o.v. toerusting, ys en vrieskaste, charter bote ens.

Aan die einde van die dag is enige vakansie wat jy self daarvan maak!
