My first one for the year... 49cm caught on a crab with a 6/0 hook while fishing for cracker in Jongensfontein. Astonishingly a friend of mine also caught one on a crab with a 9/0 hook which was only 52cm long.
Both were safely released

Hear the guys already poaching gallies in the Cape Point reserve yesterday.

Yip. Been watching. Have sent the Parksboard and TMNP photos and registration. Lets see. They killed a Cobra too. Shocking in a nature reserve.

I was fortunate enough to get 5 of between 36 and 38cm this weekend. Great start to the season and gets the blood pumping!

Happy gallie hunting everyone!

Caugh during closed season, measured 53cm

But tagged and released like 99% of my catches

On the board in Franskraal with a 40cm Galjoen.

Nice fish there bru. I fish Franskraal fairly often. Just cannot manage to catch a freakin Gallie that side. Can't moan to much though. The steenbras has been keeping me busy.
