I like to catch with 3 fake pieces of corn on a hair rig. I do flavor them and that is were the problem starts. I do want to permanently soak the corn in my favorite dips, while leaving them on the hair. So currently I use those medical plastic boxes for storing chronic pills. While they work great, they do not seal properly and therefore my dips keeps on evaporating. Even thick Banjo evaporates. Any suggestions as to what holders can work for me?

you can use small glass containers that have sealable lid you can easily find them in westpack etc just throw your fake baits directly into you dip bottle and use a grabber like the picture to pull them out when you need. Attachment: gin128-grab-tool-600.jpg (Downloaded 77 times)

I am in Bloemfontein, I cannot find any suitable containers in local shops. I am prepared to put in a order for the right stuff, so any links would be appreciated.

Check out plastic land (if you have one in your neck of the wood) mate they will have something suitable that will seal properly and fits in your tackle box. Think I bought myself a clear glass container with black plastic lid from Western Accessories in Boksburg... Flat profile and big enough opening to stick my fingers in and grab hold of a MIELIE! Fits nicely in my tackle box. If you struggle and want to carry postage costs I can get you one no problems. ![]()

Thank you fishpaste. I would just want to see a photo first, just to see if it will work for me. I want 5 as I have 5 flavors I want to work with.

Just hop into your closest grocery store and get yourself a bottle or 5 of the small pickled onions. Just wash them out properly before use. I am sure there might be something else in small glass bottles you can use?

Yes, I must just look around. I have bough some nice small glass containers in a local fishing shop, and they work, but as the lid is to thick, I can only store the bait in there. As mentioned I want to keep the bait on the hair, and let only the bait be in the holder, with the hook hanging out. I can post a photo of my current setup, if that might assist.
