Ons het seker so 20 jaar terug, voor die nuwe deel agter Punt in die Wind aangebou is gereeld daar by Punt in die Wind gebly in skool vakansies. Het my altyd verstaar aan die groot mosselkraker tande wat in die huis op vertoon was. Dit is gedurende vakansies daar waar ek my visvang vermoe geslyp het. Die laaste paar jaar bly ons maar in Cannon Rocks.

Meeste van daardie mosselkraker tande is nou al gesteel/vat... die Huis is nou al vir meer as 70 jaar in die familie. Laat weet as jy daar is dan gaan maak ons n gooi😉

Ek het lanklaas 'n rockcod gevang, wat sal julle daar gebruik? Sal gewoontlik hier bloedwurm of strepie fillets gebruik, maar weti of daar bloedwurm in die lagoon is nie

Ek het nog nooit gehoor van bloedwurm in die Boknes lagoon nie. Dit is ook nogal n mission om sandprawns te kry daar as die lagoon n rukkie toe was, maar nie onmoontlik nie. Visvang daar is maar dieselfde as Port Elizabeth, dieselfde spesies en dieselfde tipe aas, so gebruik maar jou huidige kennis ook.

;)as jy eendag Brian kitching raakloop vra hom maar oor al die Krakers oor die jare......ek en my maats self paar mooies gevang.......praat nou van boknes......as see en wind reg is is boknes kookwater.......Elke keer wat ons bietjie in my maat se Huis gaan oorbly het ons goeie vangste gemaak...moet regte tyd van jaar natuurlik ook wees...........mooi stenies......kobbies......hotties.....Krakers en elwe.....lagoon moet leeg wees Vir prawn........bring bloedwurm van gam of krom saam vir stenies en baartman........kobbies like skoon tjokka.....elwe pillies....Krakers armadillos....hotties witmossel en pinkprawns gemeng(rooiprawn as Kan kry)........

Die surf van parkingplek op na kruis se formasie verander gedurig.....jy soek kalm see met dooie gety....spring raak hy te sterk met strome.....soek mooi egalige werkwater.........veral laat middag vroeg aand....donker in......kobbies is op sandbankies met werkwater....skoon "pap float tjokka"........baarties is baie baie vlak.....Dan by parkingplek maart April en waar bote launch het ons ons al moeg gevang aan elwe....die maart April elf skole is soms ongelooflik.....November en February is goeie hottie Krakers tyd op "flatrocks" tussen boknes en cannon rocks.........Dan werk spring leegwater en inloop beter.......ouens vroeer maar skelm skulpaas gegooi maar nou mag mens dit nie gebruik......armadillo(saddleback) is wetting en goed......daars darm mooi hotties ook daar........soms like hul skoon mossel en soms gemeng met pinkprawns........maar wonderwurms ook goed Vir hulle

Gooi julle ooit bietjie lures? Ek moet sê, die kobbies daar is suckers vir n bucktail.

Ons is in Cannon van die 15de Dec tot 2de Jan, sal jou n PM stuur nader aan die tyd.
