Steel wire

I believe it's to catch the fishermen!!

Covered or coated wire is doing nothing to its strength or that of your crimp.
Coated wire just looks and feels nice 😁😁

The crimp in any case is fitted by the angler making the trace. Be sure to not utilize aluminum crimps with stainless wire.
Aluminum crimps are utilized with nylon line.
SS wire should be paired with steel crimps preferably double barrel if you can find them.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I meant, is the nylon not preventing the steel on alumunim contact so that way there's no reaction?

I don't believe the coating is that thick to prevent any electrolysis.
As said aluminium crimps aren't designed for steel wire, they are too weak to allow for a proper crimp to the cable, they are utilised for Nylon.

Use steel crimps for SS wire.
