Adrenalin Triple X 13ft grinder rod

Hi Guys and Gals,

I have been using my Adrenalin Triple X 12ft Casting rod for a good while now. It's a bit on the heavy side but otherwise I love using it.

I have been looking at the new 13ft grinder version. Information online is very limited and there is some contradicting information.

I would like to know if the 13ft models are rated 4-6oz like the 12ft or if they are rated 5-7oz as some information states.

If someone in the know could point me in the direction that would be great. I will probably end up getting the rod either way, but I like to have a good spread when it comes to oz ratings.

I went to Stefs yesterday to check the same thing. The brochure says 4-6 oz. Also seems there is a 14ft too. Every length available is 4-6 if memory serves me right

I phoned them the other day as well and Riaz said the 13ft was 4-6oz in the brochure.

However Adrenalin states that the 13ft is 5-7oz in a facebook post of theirs??

Just a question for the people who have been using these rods for a while already. How does the guides hold up to braided line, and braid to mono knots flying through them when casting?

I have used 30lb braid to 0.8 mono with no issues throwing 6oz and large pilchard baits with the 12 ft casting version.

I use a fig 8 in the leader and about a 7 turn uni in the braid and snug the knots against each other.
