Loskop always fishes well at that time of year. Most bass fishermen know this so the dam usually sees a fair bit of boat traffic. The dam has already started producing good fish with lots of fish cruising the shallows scouting nests.

The water is very clear and generally if youve spotted one of the big girls she has seen you a long time before that and it can be frustrating trying to entice a bite when you can see those submarines. We have had the best success fishing light lines and making long casts.

The banks from Aventura all the way to the dam wall are popular spawn banks and you will see the boats lined up on this stretch. The bays up towards the river also always hold fish - banks that have some of the isolated rock and timber hold fish too.

The past 2 weeks have seen good fish taken on crankbait, weightless senkos and swimbaits.

Thanks for the advice Cage it will help a lot. If the water is very clear can we use natural colours or what other colours? (It is my first time fishing for bass there.)
Thanks again and keep the advice coming.
