BergRiver ELF caught this weekend...,Some real nice size ones came out at a bridge closer to the little village also known as : " A small drinking Town with a HUGE FISHING PROBLEM...''

This one just could not resist the good old SARD bait and took of on all fins .., gave me a run of at least 4 sprints .., before I landed him...

Mooi elf daai Sparri.

Had good fun this weekend at Kliphoek. Lots of small elf. Fun casting at schools of them against the reeds. Thanks Sparri for some tips.

Fished a few local spots about 2km up river from the trainbridge. Looked for deeper water +-3-4m. Got a few just size elf on life haarder but nothing took the live elf I put out. Opposite kliphoek small elf would be in schools of hundreds and you could sight cast at them with lure in the shallows. The last day I put out a sardine bait on a elf trace and hooked this nice one. Lots of small elf on bait and lure. Small spoons and small minniw stickbaits. Lots of fish activity early morning.

When we were at the berg a few weeks ago we saw two blue rays in the shallows infront of the house. Anyone heard of this or seen this before. The house was about 15km from the mouth. They weren't interested in bait. Breeding?
