Hi All

Hope you guys had a merry xmas and happy new year.

Spent last weekend in Struisbaai at the foks house, as you can imagine the place was a mad house with all the weekenders and tourists, but none the less we had great weather and some good fishing.

We did an early morning boat trip to the vlak bank and managed to get a few yellowtail in the 6 to 10 kg mark, and also a geelbekkie. (sorry no pics :fst: )

Later that day I made a mission to Suiderstrand for some kayak fishing, there are tons of coblets in the bay there, almost caught one on every cast, all between 40 to 55cm, all returned to swim another day.

The next day the wife and I went to De Mond Nature Reserve, we were not dissapointed, the estuary was full of leeries which was great fun on light tackle, also all safely released.

Hi Henlie, I did keep an eye out for any tailing grunters but didn't see any, there was large shoals of big mullet closer to the mount, and apparently someone got a big cob further up the river.
