I feel a bit on the edge, I smoked my last sigarette 30hours ago. I smoked for 13 years!

I went to my GP yesterday after a bad asthma attack over the weakend and he advised me to quit. I went back to work, had a siggy (9am) and decided to see if I can last until 12pm. After I managed that, next target 3pm, and then 5pm and then a big one....., a smoke with my morning coffee.

Still going good. The road is long, but I've committed myself. Anyone else stopped smoking recently? I think the biggest challenge is going to be when I'm fishing and they are slow on the bite.

Tight Lines!

Habib,

Take it a day at a time. When I woke up on Monday morning, I never thought I would quit. I just came to that decision and set myself a few goals.

I think it is different for everyone. Be honest with yourself and stick to your plan. The more you stress about it, the more difficult it will be.

Good luck.

I gave my brother these Allan Carr audio cd's... its mp'3 though. He listened to it and stopped. I myself havn't listened to the whole thing yet. Think i should cause its been almost 2 weeks and he hasn't smoked.

But like they say.. its a one day at a time thing. Keep busy.
