Dear members, So I'm going on my second Lazarus Banks trip which is confirmed for October 2017. This time around I set about choosing my crew in advance to have a say about fishing time and not wasting by trolling, which me and my dad can do with our own boats in Northern KZN. Now, I have the opportunity to source some tackle for myself and my crew (3 seasonal anglers and 3 newbies). Kindly let me have some info on the tackle you would want to let go and some prices and pictures thereof for consideration. You can contact or whatsapp me @ zero73zero6zero39zero2 or e-mail me @ hjlubbeyakuza@gmail.com I'm currently situated in Pretoria Thanks in advance guys

Hi bud the topwater and jigging world is full of BS and the sky's the limit when it comes to gear prices. For a good trip I would say you need the following. PE 8 popping rig to handle the big buggers PE 6 stickbait/light popping rod for medium size stuff PE 3 light tackle setup to mess around with when the things are slow PE4 jigging setup Reel wise from best to less best Stella ---> grr mufasa Saragosa ---> great for jigging a bit sucky for top water Twin Power---> 14K is a decent topwater reel Stradic ---> only go up to 8k size but are proven performers for light applications Rods (not sure on budget here so I'll go for the cheap reliable options) Shimano the white one can't remember the name Shimano - T-Curve Daiwa - Saltiga Posideion- can't remember the name but it has blue EVA Jigging Shimano t-Curve Shimano - Trevalla I'm sure you have plenty light gear Lures Halco roosta Heru Cubera Poppers Heru Ulua Stick Baits Shimano Ocea stick baits large GT Ice creams Williamson stick baits (bit sucky but they work) Jigs Most of the Williamson range most of the stuff JM Africa stocks Terminal tackle Owner ST 76 trebles for the big gear ST66 for the light Owner split rings and sold rings big Swivels NT, Japan or Owner Varivus Assist cord Good shops to talk to would be jigging master Africa and the boys at Freespool Angling. Hope that helps Last edited on Thu Nov 24th, 2016 05:52 pm by Cam Mundy |
