Hi,

Can any Sealiner member perhaps provide info on Dalgleish Bank off Knysna. What can be caught? Is it best to troll or do bottom fishing?

Any advice would be appreciated.

HI Geronimoo...You can get Yellowtail and Redfish out on Dougleish banks depending on the time of year.

Some guys like to trowl the area if the tail are on the bite, else bottom fishing for some decent sized red romans, rooitjies and the elusive red steenbras.

Pop into Breezers Fishing if you in the area (Peter is ex commercial fisherman) and im sure they can assist with some GPS marks.

Hi, Dalgliesh has so much to offer. Great reef fishing and all-round fishing. The reef itself rises from 90m to about 30m. Trawling you can pick up Bonita( sarda sarda)on a good day they can be a pest. Yellow tail are a frequent there and occasionally the Geel bek will surprise you. The reef boasts Red Roman, Red Steenbrass Miss Lucy you name it. So to answer your question: Trawl for a while if nothing is kicking just drop a line you will catch something.;)

Geronimo is parked for the winter and my son is in France so we will have to wait for Summer, in the mean time I will fish the Lagoon.

I specifically want to try and get a Musclecracker which I believe bite around the Train bridge on redbait.

Stywe Lyne !
