So the wife and I went to Jeffries Bay on Thursday the 17th.We Left Roodepoort at about 4H20 and arrived at around 16H40.On the Friday we went to introduce ourselves to Josh Herbst from TJ'S Bait & Tackle and finalize arrangements for Saturday.A lot of you will know his dad owns TJ'S.

I found Josh to be well mannered, and a very organized guide. He was eager to teach and as a Junior SA fisherman has a lot of knowledge to share. My wife and I are hoping to go again next year but want to spend at least a week there.I definitely wish to fish with him again and would recommend that any person going to that area contact him or his dad.

I will now try to post the pictures of what I caught over the weekend:

So on Saturday while my wife was doing her scrapbook thing I caught 5 species and 7 fish.(3 lesser Sandie's)

By this time I felt that the money spent on the weekend was worth it.I mentioned to Josh that I would like to target the huge elf we hear about the next day.We arranged for him to pick me up at about 15H30 on Sunday

AND THIS IS WHAT I GOT

I must admit that I am not sure how long the fight was.Josh recons between 15 and 20 minutes. But in my excitement I had overtightened the drag.My feet were buried in the sand and had the fish pulled slightly harder it would have pulled me and the whole beach into the sea!:rasta
