Great stuff

As said there is a new development taking place at Milli. My personal opinion is that this wil ruin Milli for us as fisherman as it is now. I have been going there for eight years now for at least six to seven times a year. I go there to get away from it all and like the solitude and nothingness of it. I stay at a lodge at home and dont want to stay in a lodge there. Dont get me wrong im not standing in the way of development. But the planned project there will only cater for the super rich and no camp sites will be available. The mistake that most of these devolopers make is to forget that the most revunue comes from the middle class person who wants to have a great vacation somwhere exotic at a affordable price. How many luxury lodges are closing their doors along the Mozambique coast at the moment. Plenty!!!! Rather upgrade the campsite to something like Cape vidal and still do your log cabins/chalets for the person who does not want to camp. than building a luxury lodge that will have maybe one house occupied in a week if they are lucky. The problem with the whole thing is after a while it will become redundent and even us normal people will not have accsess to the beach. I think the whole project is put in place to serve very few and in the end the enviroment and the local people will be the ones drawing the short straw.

What can we do about it? maybe a petition Maybe a meeting with the developers if we get a strong enough following. so guys please give me your input regarding this. I know some people who know some people who might get a word or two in for us.

Admin please move this post if this is not in the right section.

A very concerned Milli fisherman
Malboer

I hope this does not happen, as good wild spots are getting few and far between. This will mean another piece of paradise lost.

Hi Guys.
It seems like you guys got a few nice fish atleast.
I have been there once before, and we had no luck really. Just a odd few small fish.
We going up on the 10 February 2017, and would really appreciate any advice.
Can you guys please give me advise as to what baits i should take with from PE?
Are there any local baits one can use? And where does one find the local baits?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hussein

Fish at night Most baits work well sardine chokka combo. ghost crabs sea lice(catch on the beach) sliding a small spotted pompano and or big bonito fillet baits. you should do well. early morning late afternoon dropshot plugging and spinning should get you some good fish. Its a good time you will be there. so good luck and keep us postes

Thanks for the advice bud. Definitely super excited to be there already. I will definitely be reporting back on sealine of our trip and experiences.
We looking at taking a rubber duck 1 motor boat with. Can one launch from the beach at our campsite? Do we need a license or register our boat for the area?
We looking at bringing 1 or 2 fish home. Do we need a license of any sort to keep those fish?
Sorry for all the questions, but my understanding is that there is a lot of new rules & regulations.
Will we be able to find sea lice on the beach in front of the camp site?
Thanks a lot for your assistance.
