Eagle Claw 20/O circle hook

Anyone ever had one of these hooks open up on them or snap during a fight?

Never and we're on over 35 tons of sharks on the hooks.

I have seen a mustad circle snapped in half by a jumping GW (wrapped the trace around the body)

It's not impossible for any hook to be forced open if the tip hooks against the jawbone. No hook is designed or capable of staying in perfect shape if it is pulled against the tip instead of in the bend of the hook.

In the marlin fishing circles, that is the only eagle claw hook used and considered the best.
