Hi all

My son & myself use our Kayaks for Bass & the odd Barbel fishing.

I'm looking for some info on Rhenosterkop & De Hoop dams ?

Is it safe to go fishing there "alone" and are there areas ( Like Buffelspoort) where no boats are allowed ?

Hallo Jaco,

Rhenosterkop is relatief veilig en kostes is baie billik. Kry maar iemand by die launch om na jou voertuig te kyk want ek het nog nooit probleme gehad as jy die manne gebruik. Hulle help my ook die boot launch en indien jy 'n vis of 2 hou sal hulle dit vir jou skoon maak. Hulle was ook altyd sommer gou jou boot en kan ek die dam aanbeveel. Daar is nie enige "no boat" areas maar is die dam redelik groot so jy sal nie probleme ervaar. Kyk maar net vir die plat honde want daar is paar groot krokkenosters in die dam. Die dam is tans relatief leeg maar is vangste nog steeds goed.
