HI Guys, as you may know by now, Ryan left on a Brownie point Game-viewing excursion with the better half to some desolate destination.We all know that this is only in order to go fishing for his beloved "maidens"of the mighty Orange-river from Wednesday next, till next Saturday.Lets have a fun- poll to see how accurately we can predict the biggest barbel(if anything at all) he stands to pit his "strength" against.

Bear in mind, time of year,weather predictions for that region over the next few days etc. etc. etc .

The poll will probably only allow you to vote once,but if you change your mind during the next week,you may post stating your previous weight and the reason why you changed your mind.(NO TELEPHONIC INFO FROM RYAN ALLOWED,MARNO),or you for that matter DEON(SHARK-WHISPERER) or has it changed to CATFISH-CALLER since.

I'd say under 7Kg's and I bet his better half will get the better of him and will catch a bigger fish than he does.

If he says his WAS bigger it will be because she let hers go not to embarras him.

 

I have good reason to believe the under 7 kg's is going to be closer to the truth... remember the vaal river small barbel that took all their lures and broke and bend the hooks...

I rest my case ;-)

i used to live in the northern cape up until 2 years ago....

some BEEGGG whiskers up there....in those big farm dams that noone ever fishes....

although all i managed to catch in the orange was a small carp..!!!!

YAY for me ?

i miss that part of the world....

Ryan is still on the brownie point -game-viewing-trip with the missus.Only then may or may not ,she issue him with written permission to try and catch a few of the Orange-river monsters,starting on Wednesday and ending on Saturday.

Its really only a fun-poll to keep the Barbel-forum ticking over,as he is really the one that initiates a lot of the topics here.Seems like barbel hunters are introverts LOL

He will only be able to fish from Wednesday onwards. The are still in the nature reserve till Wednesday.

To all barbel forum members, do you guys think Ryan should feel somewhat honored by all the interest shown in his fishing excursion,which hasn't even begun.I mean he hasn't even bothered to browse the forums even once.I bet he's going to use the 3G reception as an excuse,lol, any sidebets, lol

Allan, dit was nie ek op Ryan se boot toe hy tree hugging gedoen het nie. Dit was sy broer. Ek was die meeste van die ander kere saam met hom op die boot.
