Thanks for the welcome. IM retired in Pearly Beach and enjoy my fishing, mainly rock and surf. I also go out with my rubberduck on occasions. Hope to meet some interesting angling buddies on this sight

HI guys and thanks for the warm welcome. I learnt my salt water fishing in Walvis Bay. Traveled to paaltjies by bicycle , and used an army kit bag to convey my catch by balancing it between my arms on the center frame of the bike. The ever-blowing SOUTH WESTER sure helped to get me home. All of this happened between 1956 and 1961 when I worked for Barclays Bank in Walvis. Good old days to remember when I fetched FRESH pilchards directly off the boats for bait. Where does one get FRESH bait these days? Intention is to be there in Feb 2015. Regards en STYWE LYNE aan julle almal. Swanie

Try sending Ryan (Moderator of the Artlure Forum) a message. His profile says that he resides in Thabazimbi and is a legend on the forum. Perhaps he can assist you with some venues to fish in.

Thanks will do so. I have neglected my fishing on artlures, currently falling under the old papgooier status.  New year is time for change.
