The same happened to one of my Black Hole Nanos... It was on an offshore trip and I got smashed by a rather large Tuna, which I managed to land ... Anyway so the skipper and I cut off about 70mm of the EVA (it was a butt join popping rod) and we bound it with sail stitching twine... I fished it hard for the rest of the trip without further incident. When I returned, I took it to Enigma (Craig Neil at CDS in Centurion) and he removed our repair and then bound it again with carbon fiber and replaced the fore grip EVA.
