 as Nepptune said Quatar is the best bet as is BA (british airways) they have a restriction of 1.7 metre but no weight restriction on rod tubes.

only weight restriction was on luggage and that was 25kg , virgin and airfrance are doing the same restrictions on sporting goods with regards to length of rod tubes.
